Mind that Card.........

Yipp that's right when heading into Harrods to shop you have too show real strong will power and know your limits cos bouncing the plastic to many times could see one working all through there Xmas holidays just recouping the extravagance.....

So after a couple of hours looking we decided to make a purchase of our own..

The "Staff" at Harrods are trained to perfection and they "Know" when a spender Is getting near their "Safe Limit" so a couple of discreet words like, "That'll Be All Sir" means put the card away....

And following our "Spend"  those words were ringing in my ears....
Thanks Mate.....

Our purchase.....

Custard donut and Cheese bun...... 3 quid 80 pence....

So we "Tubed" to  the West End, showing off our "Harrods" bag, could have been filled with Diamonds for all those "Non Lookers"  on the tube knew.....

And for us Top Bracket spenders the bag was Free.........

Coming up... Borough Market.......

Londons Calling....

The plan has been to visit London before Xmas for a look at the Xmas lights etc.
Saturday we headed off by 7.30am, drove to a park and ride, and caught the Oxford Tube, bus, to London. The buses go every 10 - 15 mins and the return fare is about the same as a car fuel bill plus you can get off at Hyde Park or Victoria Station right in the centre of town were car parking is prohibitive...

Spent the day checking out some attractions, another story, then as dark set in we made our way walking and mostly looking up at the lights...

Along Regent street.......  The twelve days of Xmas decorations above...

The familiar "curve" of the road and buildings fronting  Regent street.....

Only about "5 days" to go...

Along Oxford street the lights shone and the crowds built up.....

The House Of Fraser from the front....

And along the side with the Xmas Trees  looking good.... I spotted a bulb out in the 3rd row bout half way up....

Looking back the other way.......

On a side street..... more decs,.......

Had a walk around the West End.....

The lights had just come on......

Wasn't TOO crowded in this direction.....

Or this way....

There were rides for the kids on the "Green"....

Caught the tube to Tower Hill and walked down past......

The Tower Of London.......

Headed for......

Tower Bridge.....

No "on the water" traffic tonight......

Then we crossed.......

Stopping for one "mug" shot...

Followed by....

Another....

Tubed back to Marble Arch to see the sights of "Winter Wonderland" in Hyde Park.

Walked with the mass's to the entry gate in the park only to be told there was at least a half hour wait to enter and with the spitting down of approaching rain it was a good time to retreat and enjoy the warmth of a bus ride back to Oxford.  Arrived home bout 10pm..
A Great day out....

The "Big Wheel" at Winter Wonderland......

Tomorrow shopping with the Sheik.....
